This lecture is part of a full day program dedicated to dreams, titled "Sampling the Dream World".
Dreams inspire us. They state and solve problems, express emotions and gratify wishes. They portray our current problems, past dilemmas and future possibilities. They
can both disguise or illuminate aspects of traumatic experiences or express in images and stories those feelings that are the most difficult to talk about in waking life. They give
expression to the life not lived. They can entertain or frighten us, puzzle or engage. They torment or offer consolation ... and all of this exists within layers of meaning and
possibility ... all of it so easily forgotten in the bustle of waking life.
The C. G. Jung Society of Montreal invites you to dedicate a day to study and reflect on the nature and uses of dreams and dreaming. This day will take a multifaceted approach to
the world of dreams. Practitioners from various fields will present their ideas. Subjects will include Art Therapy, Active Imagination and others.
