Psychoanalysts

Guy Corneau, M. Ed.

Biography

Jungian psychoanalyst Guy Corneau is internationally recognized as an authority on issues of masculine identity, on the challenges couples face around intimacy issues, and on the meaning of crisis and illness. A popular and influential presence in the Canadian media, Corneau has published several books in French, two of which have been translated into English: Absent Fathers, Lost Sons (1991, Shambhala Publications) and Lessons in Love: The Transformation of Spirit Through Intimacy (1999, Henry Holt).

Over the past 15 years, Corneau has given numerous lectures and workshops throughout the world. In 1997, together with a group of artists and therapists under the banner of Productions Coeur.com., he created and subsequently led seminars that were innovative in nature: the Perceval Project, based on the legend of King Arthur, is a prime example. More recently, he has been leading workshops throughout Europe and Quebec: drawing their inspiration from the Egyptian Legend of Isis & Osiris, their purpose is to heal the heart through psychological understanding and creative expression.

Guy Corneau is co-founder of the Cercle C.G. Jung de Montréal (1975). He is also the founder of Réseau Hommes Québec, a men’s network of discussion and support groups throughout Quebec and Europe.
