Our year begins with an evening of chat with two of our favourite friends. Jan Bauer and Guy Corneau are both loved and admired for the work they have done on the local front and the ideas they have brought to the world at large. They have been generous with their time and dedication to the cause of Jungian psychology in general and to our society in particular.
In his latest book, Revivre, Corneau writes: “The practice of an expressive art truly contributes to one’s well-being.” This book urges us to find the deepest core of our lives, which is often hidden beneath obligations, fears and doubts. His message is essentially about “creating a life.”
Jan Bauer has presented a wide range of topics that attest to her creative impulse. “Impossible Love;” “Authority or Obedience;” “Transformation: Hoax or Hope?” “Bedazzled: On Charisma,” and “The Mysteries of Money” are some of the diverse perspectives that she has explored.
This evening we will entertain a wide range of issues relating to creativity in the charmed company of two very creative people. They were an entertaining “couple” when they last chatted with us two years ago. The conversation continues …
The evening will be animated by Mary Harsany, co-president and program coordinator of the C. G. Jung Society of Montreal, and a psychologist in private practice in Montréal.
